Smaller Walking Polar Bear - Table Fetish

Hand carved by artist Uagalak. Our bear measures 4 in. wide by 1/5 in. tall. This is prehistoric fossilized walrus ivory. It gets its color from being buried in the frozen tundra for centuries. The coastal Eskimos dig it up in the warm summer months. This ivory comes from St. Lawrence Island.
