Prehistoric Walrus Ivory Dangle Earrings Set In Sterling Silver

Prehistoric Walrus Ivory can run from a very light tan to darker browns. Since it was in the ground for so long the ivory color would be influenced by the minerals in that area producing lighter or darker tans. These earrings have the darker tan which is more unusual.The artist who did the silverwork is Oliver Smith, famous Navajo artist. the earrings carry 24 carats of turquoise and measure 1 1/4 in. long by 7/8 in. wide.
