Mudhead Kachina

Mudhead kachina's are probebly the most well known of all the Hopi kachinas. They appear in most Hopi ceremonies and fill many roles; clowns, interlocutors, announcers of the dances, drummers and many others. Some consider mudhead as "first man" who emerged from the earth eons ago. Mudhead measures 16 3/4 in. high by 10 1/4 in. wide.
