Pot Carrier Man Kachina
As a runner, he is called Matia. If a mana walks behind and stirs the pot, he is called Talakin. Other names are Malachpeta and Malatsmo. The pot is always carried by the strap or rope being passed over the forehead. Ours measures 17 1/2 in. high by 10 1/2 in. wide and 5 3/4 in. deep. This copper kachina can either be stood on a table or hung on a wall.
