Artist: Toby
Henderson's grandmother, Helen Long, developed a style of kachina
jewelry or bracelets, bolas, earrings, pedants, rings, and belt buckles
out of sterling silver. She taught Toby how to make this style and
allowed him to use it. He went on to perfect the standing kachina
design as well as other jewelry. All of Toby's chattiness are hand
stamped and each piece is made by hand then soldered together. Since
the kachinas are so small this work takes a large amount of time and
patience and is quite difficult on the artist's eyes. |
