Toby Henderson
Creator of sterling silver
kachinas, silver belt buckles and other Native American art and jewelry
Toby Hendersen’s
grandmother developed the style of Kachina jewelry. She made bracelets,
bolas, earrings and silver belt buckles out of sterling. She taught Toby how to
make that style and allowed him to use it. He went on to perfect the
standing Kachina design as well as other jewelry.
All
Toby’s Kachinas are hand stamped and each piece is made by hand and then
soldered together. Since the Kachinas are so small, this work takes a
large amount of time and patience. Toby is a Navajo and quite proud of his
creations.
